My name is Jay White, and I am proud to be running for Whitby Town Council to represent the residents of North Ward.

Whitby has been home to my family and me for more than 15 years. We chose to build our home in Brooklin because we believed in the strong sense of community, family values, and quality of life that make North Whitby such a special place to live. Today, this is where my children attend school, participate in community activities, and enjoy the same charm and opportunities that attracted us to this community years ago.

As a local business owner, I have built my career and business right here in Whitby. Over the past 20 years, my work has taken me across the GTA and even throughout North America, allowing me to work with a wide range of people, businesses, and communities. While those experiences have shaped my perspective, they have also reinforced something important: there is no place quite like home.

 

Through my experience managing projects, budgets, and stakeholder relationships, combined with my community involvement, I have developed a strong understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing Whitby and the importance of thoughtful, responsible decision-making. These experiences have prepared me to work collaboratively, make informed decisions, and advocate effectively on behalf of North Ward residents.
